For Texas Rose, The Thaw and The Beasts Castanets mastermind Ray Raposa invited friends from all corners of the indie rock world to guest--Jason Crane of Rocket from the Crypt, David J of Bauhus, Pall Jenkins of Black Heart Procession, Andy Robillard of Gogogo Airheart, DM Stith, Gabriel Sundy, Chris Cory, Henry Nagle and Suzanna Waiche all make an appearance. Arriving on the heels of last year's City of Refuge, which was recorded by Raposa by himself, locked in a hotel room in Nevada, this is the return of Castanets as a full-band experience.
