Massive amounts of hype and co-signs can only get you so far. And when you end up in prison for eight months and then follow it with a car crash resulting in serious injuries, it's not easy to stay motivated. But Cassidy was able to capture modest success with his post-prison/crash record, B.A.R.S. The Barry Adrian Reese Story, though it failed to deliver a big single like 2005's I'm A Hustla title-track. He would also quickly return to the studio for his fourth album, C.A.S.H. (Cass A Straight Hustla). The record features guest spots from hook-regulars Ne-Yo and John Legend along with production from Swizz Beatz, Top Notch, Vinylz, and AR-AB, among others.
