The disappointing sales of Killa Season make Crime Pays a crucial album in Cam'ron's career as to whether or not he's still relevant in the hip hop world, something that's become increasingly hard to do for anyone who's become the subject of 50's insults. At the least, street anthems like the Midwest repping "I Used To Get It In Ohio" and "I Hate My Job" are the kind of hard hitting and soulful tracks that Cam'ron built his fanbase on and should please longtime listeners.

Fire album. I been a cam fan for a minute now. I got all his alubums except s.d.e. and children of the corn, but the rest of em i got em. I buy this nigga straight out the store. I don't bootleg niggaz that i respect in the game. Im down here in ga and he don't get a lot of spins down here but i mess wit cam. I just wish down south would give him some mo radio play. after watchin them dirty ass videos i figured this album was gonna be gutter, and it damn well is. dude took it back to 94-96 with those cruddy videos and they match the album, dirty, and gritty. on some old mobb deep ish. Cam is the man. |
