At some point during 2009, someone must have lit a fire under Bun B. In early '09, his last album as part of UGK called UGK 4 Life dropped with critical and commercial success. And Bun B wasted no time after that as he proceeded to hop on tracks and remixes from artists across the hip-hop gamut. When he announced Trill O.G., the third entry in the Trill series, he hit the booth with even more of a vengeance. Part of the reason for that is he also recorded a mixtape, dubbed No Mixtape, alongside this proper LP. Trill O.G. features guests such as Drake, Jamie Foxx, and Royce Da 5’9” along with production from a skilled roster of hitmakers including DJ Premier, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Pete Rock, and Pimp C.
