This is the debut full-length CD from the Hawaiian-born Mars (a.k.a. Peter Hernandez, Jr.)., a songwriter and producer who is best known for co-writing Flo Rida’s smash “Right Round” as well as B.o.B’s “Nothin’ on You” and Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire.” Mars did most of his writing and producing as a member of the Los Angeles-based production team the Smeezingtons, which crafted hits for artists like Cobra Starship, Sugababes, Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber. The CD features the Top Ten single “Just the Way You Are,” released in advance of the album (and not the old Billy Joel song). It follows the EP It’s Better If You Don’t Understand, which dropped in July 2010.
