Proving that their self-titled debut would not be their only collaborative release as Broken Bells, Shins frontman James Mercer and hip-hip producer Danger Mouse return with a new four-track EP, comprised of two unreleased and two limited-release songs. With a cover image looking like a deflated version of their debut's bright pink ball, the duo seem to be implying something about the critical and commercial success their first album received, and aren't anticipating a repeat a year later. For months after that release they promised a follow-up, and here it's clear that Broken Bells was never meant as a one-off project.
