Somehow it seems strangely appropriate that Brian Wilson would be involved with Disney, but it took George Gershwin to make it happen. Wilson, a lover of the Great American Songbook and its primary exponents like Gershwin, Irving Berlin, et al, has cut a deal with Disney to release his interpretations of a slew of classic Gershwin tunes, including "It Ain't Necessarily So," "They Can't Take That Away From Me," and "I've Got Rhythm." And while Wilson brings his trademark orchestral-pop style to the arrangements, the biggest news is the unearthing of two previously unheard Gershwin songs, "The Like In I Love You," and "Nothing But Love."
