One of Japan's most famous noise-rock bands, Boredoms are well-known for their beyond outside-the-box musical nature. And the group, which has released a slew of recordings since forming in 1982, has also become well-known for translating its otherworldly tunes to a live setting. In particular, Boredoms created a concert feat July 7, 2007, when the band gathered 77 drummers for 77 Boadrum in New York City. The subsequent years would feature similar events, such as 88 Boadrum with 88 drummers on Aug. 8, 2008. But it was the '07 show that would be made into a DVD of the live show, 77 Boadrum, featuring percussionists from bands such as Gang Gang Dance, Lightning Bolt, Holy Fuck, Oneida, and many others.
