Bon Iver released the most heralded breakup album of the 2000s with 2008’s For Emma, For Ever Ago. Bon Iver’s much anticipated follow up was recorded in a former Veterenarian’s Clinic in Fall Creek, WI, echoing and expanding on the band’s famous use of remote log-cabin in northern Wisconsin on its previous album and its follow up Blood Bank EP. It’s unclear what lyrical themes Bon Iver will be dealing with in 2011, but the band has promised increased musical stakes.
