Bob Dylan’s Bootleg series has been a boon to fans of Hibbing, Minnesota’s favorite son. Instead of having to seek out Dylan’s unreleased material, alternate takes, and live performances, the man himself has been good enough to compile them with outstanding sound quality and throw in some fancy pictures and commentary to boot. Tell Tale Signs: the Bootleg Series Volume 8 collects unreleased material, demos, and live tracks from 1989 through 2006. While this set might not have the pure curiosity factor of the original Bootleg Series or the historical significance of the Royal Albert Hall concert featured on volume four, Tell Tale Signs will feature Dylan’s duet with Ralph Stanley, soundtrack tunes from Lucky You and Gods and Generals, and  the lone track from an album Dylan started and abandoned in 1992.
