Blunt Mechanic World Record

Blunt Mechanic is the creation of Ben Barnett, who spent roughly a decade as the singer, guitarist, and songwriter of Kind of Like Spitting. That band--which consisted of Barnett and a series of bandmates he assembled for touring and recording--folded in 2006, and Barnett spent the next years teaching music to kids before returning with a new band, Blunt Mechanic, and a new album, World Record. While Blunt Mechanic is a continuation of Barnett's work, it is a project undertaken in brighter spirits than Kind of Like Spitting, and emerged at a more auspicious time for direct and heartfelt indie rock.
