As progenitors of the hybrid of punk and dance music, Blondie has no doubt seen some rekindled interest since its last studio album, 2003’s critical and commercial flop The Curse of Blondie. Panic of Girls, its follow-up, was confirmed by drummer Clem Burke to be released before the band’s Australian tour dates in November 2010. Panic of Girls was later confirmed for January 2011 in the U.K. and U.S., again proceeding tour dates in those countries. The band has described the songs as less processed than the work on The Curse of Blondie and has reported that the songs have been well-received during live shows.
I LOVE BLONDIE THIER COOL
