Review

Dangerous Thoughts has been in the works since 2006. It was then that Black Thought, who you likely know as the Roots’ frontman, announced he was collaborating with Danger Mouse. This was, of course, welcomed news, especially considering the producer’s solid DangerDOOM record with MF DOOM and the Ghetto Pop Life album with Jemini. And fans of the Roots have been salivating for Black Thought to drop a solo album for a while now. Don’t believe it? Just look to the Roots’ OkayPlayer message boards and you will easily find someone ranting about it. It’s not that they’re sick of his output with the Roots. But hearing Black Thought spitting over someone else’s beats, especially someone as innovative as Danger Mouse, is just way too intriguing.
