This collaborative album of Black Francis (Pixies) and Reid Paley (The Five) was written and recorded quickly between Francis's obligations with the reunited Pixies tour. Francis and Paley wrote the songs over a three-day period in Paley's Brooklyn apartment in between Francis's sets at New York's Joe's Pub. The two then took the songs to Nashville, where they were recorded in one take over two days. Backing musicians for the effort are David Hood on bass and Spooner Oldham on piano.
