Mobb Deep and its associates have had a good run, haven't they? "Shook Ones Pt. II" was an absolute triumph, and it received deserved exposure as the beat for the pivotal battle rhymes in 8 Mile. By this point, they've cemented their rep as East Coast thug rap representatives. Big Noyd has been a staple of the Mobb Deep crew, and as such, this album delivers exactly what you'd expect: some quality beats and street-tempered rhymes. Nothing wrong with that, but Noyd and Co. are past their prime, and fail to offer anything you can't find on Mobb Deep's past releases. Rent 8 Mile again and save your $15.
