British novelist/essayist Nick Hornby, forever beloved to music geeks everywhere as the author of High Fidelity, has crossed the last frontier on Lonely Avenue, going from writing about music to making music. Of course, this wouldn't have been possible without the efforts of his buddy Ben Folds. Folds, no slouch in the songwriting department himself, put Hornby's lyrics to music and recorded the tunes for an album that the pair intended to be experienced old-school, one side at a time on vinyl, but it'll also be made available as a CD and a digital download for those who may be turntable-challenged.
