Ten years after the debut of their first album, Felix Burton and Simon Ratcliffe have managed to stay as manic and giddy as ever. Nothing less is expected from the Brixton duo at this point, who've built their career on energetic, genre-hopping house tracks, such as new cuts like the spastic "Twerk" and the semi-pyschedellic "Raindrops," the latter being one of the duo's most acclaimed singles. Scars also continues in their recent tradition of enlisting hip, notable vocalists with Yoko Ono, Santigold, Lightspeed Champion, Yo Majesty, Eli 'Paperboy' Reed and Sam Sparro all appearing on the album this time around. The duo also managed leave to the confines of their Brixton studio and record the album in New York and Berlin, a departure from their usual recording process.
