Basement Jaxx Vs. Metropole Orkest is the result of a very unlikely pairing, having the sounds and singles of one of the most successful dance duos of the past decade performed by an orchestra that features 60 instrumentalists and at least 22 vocalists. While the in-person performance is now making its way to England, this release captures the Dutch orchestra’s original, Netherlands-based performances, and combines it with original work from Bassment Jaxx’s own Felix Buxton. Guest vocalists include Sharlene Hector and the Bellrays’ Lisa Kekaula.
