Don't ever accuse singer/songwriter Damon "Badly Drawn Boy" Gough of lacking ambition or inspiration. The songwriting period that resulted in the 2009 BDB album Is There Nothing We Could Do turned out to be the start of a major creative outpouring. Gough began writing so many new songs that he found himself obliged to map out a tripartite album series just to accomodate them all. Photographing Snowflakes is the first installment in the It's What I'm Thinking trilogy, the volume's title reportedly coming from Gough pondering what one of the most difficult occupations on Earth might be.
