Thanks to some help from Frank Black, who served as producer, and a socially conscious view, Art Brut's third album, 2009's Art Brut vs. Satan, was easily their best yet. Yet, amidst the growth by the band, the snarky rockers were able to maintain the wit and attitude that made them catch a buzz in 2004 with "Formed a Band."
And on their fourth record, Brilliant! Tragic!, Art Brut continues to display immense growth and maturity. According to frontman Eddie Argos, "the album is more about how I think I’m psychic, songs for my funeral, the principality of Sealand and Axl Rose. Weightier topics I think. I’m also sexier now." Black again provides production duties on here as well.
