Depending on your taste, this San Diego singer-songwriter’s music is either cutesy “Grey’s Anatomy” tripe or finely constructed fare that was smartly chosen for wide appeal by the makers of that television show. Marina’s follow up to her 2005 debut “Miss Halfway” was produced by Louis XIV’s Brian Karscig and Spoon’s Britt Daniel. It was preceded by the single “Move You (SSSPII),” another track featured on “Grey’s Anatomy” (the first was the title track to her debut). The album also takes a few detours, including the cabaret song “All The Same To Me” and the bossa nova cover tune “Waters of March,” penned by Antonio Carlos Jobim.
