On any other season of American Idol, the fiery, raspy-voiced Allison Iraheta would have been a bonafide top 2 finalist, but she had the misfortune of competing in the same season as Adam Lambert, eventual winner Kris Allen and some guy named Danny Gokey who America has seemed to already forget about. Iraheta made enough of an impression on the show by doing justice to female-fronted rock standards like Heart's "Alone" and Janis Joplin's "Cry Baby" to warrant a fair amount of attention for her debut. The likes of pop/rock giants such as Toby Gad, Pink and Max Martin contributed songs, which is more than a lot of contestants who finished in fourth place on the show can say for themselves.
