How do you follow up an album that got you accolades as "the Loudest Band in New York?" Why, with more ear-splitting songs, of course. That's what Exploding Head (a perfect title for this band) is for A Place to Bury Strangers; another album of red level shoegaze that imagines what Ministry would sound like if they had an intense dislike for ear drums. Exploding Head is the band's first album for Mute, which is a logical fit, since many of today's best noise makers (like Liars) are on the venerated label.
