is it? I didn't think "Ivy League" was a a type of music...the context of it was negative: that bands are trying too hard to be different. |

Sufjan hadn't mentioned VW directly. Pitchfork then asked: "Uh oh, are you going to take that?" The "you" was a link to VW's website. |

Any of you see the article on Pitchfork about Sufjan Stevens? Apparently he was doing a review for a band off his label and he dissed Vampire Weekend indirectly- calling their music "Afro beat Ivy League pop"
