Here are photos of Trevor Dunn with Nate Wooley, Darius Jones and Ryan Sawyer at the Knitting Factory (Old Office) from his show yesterday (March 18, 2008).
Why does there never seem to be any video or audio to accompany the 'coverage' of real artists like Trevor Dunn? Sometimes i wonder why i ever pay any attention to this site...Is the entire staff out in my backyard, (austin), trying desperately to monopolize the next vanilla ice? Thank you Ms. Bailey for something, because well, its better than nothing.

what other music sites are even putting up photos from this show? if you gave us the money to film this we would've too.
I was so excited for this show. Trevor Dunn is astoundingly talented and the fact that his band members were able to play right along with him (and not sound like they were trying to keep up) is a testament to their abilities as well.
I think recording audio from this show would've been tough as it was in the basement of the knitting factory and the performers were unamplified.
I really have to give Dave from Prefix a lot of credit, he was very supportive of covering this show. I don't think many other music sites would've featured photos from this show - even the friends I tried to invite to come with me were like "Ummm....jazz? *yawn*".
Thanks for posting a comment that got me thinking :)
the point daba, was not to compare prefix and another site, but rather to hi-lite how destitute the fans really are if the ones we count on (prefix) cannot fulfill their responsibility towards the proliferation of worthwhile music. as to me paying for the filming...um, i have a digital camera. do you? :)

Hey Slug, Very few bands get filmed at Prefix. I also consider a photo gallery of a band as coverage. As far as using a digital camera to film a band, currently we only use filmers that use 3 CCD/HD video cameras.
there we are daba. the truth. you consider images of the band sufficient. sigh...

it's just impossible to get most things covered in the form of video. again, if you got the money and the filming/editing skills i would've posted video of this.
if you cant get it on hd you get it on a crappy sony cybershot just to document the event, otherwise your just talking about hidef, and really whats that? trevor dunn is not a fashion model, although some might think so...
comeon
if you can capture the show on a crappy cybershot, send it over because i don't know anyone that did that or anyone my team that was willing to do that when the show happened.
it was a blessing to even have lori out to take photos of the show.
