Hi Slug :) I was so excited for this show. Trevor Dunn is astoundingly talented and the fact that his band members were able to play right along with him (and not sound like they were trying to keep up) is a testament to their abilities as well. I think recording audio from this show would've been tough as it was in the basement of the knitting factory and the performers were unamplified. I really have to give Dave from Prefix a lot of credit, he was very supportive of covering this show. I don't think many other music sites would've featured photos from this show - even the friends I tried to invite to come with me were like "Ummm....jazz? *yawn*". Thanks for posting a comment that got me thinking :) |

the point daba, was not to compare prefix and another site, but rather to hi-lite how destitute the fans really are if the ones we count on (prefix) cannot fulfill their responsibility towards the proliferation of worthwhile music. as to me paying for the filming...um, i have a digital camera. do you? :) |

it's just impossible to get most things covered in the form of video. again, if you got the money and the filming/editing skills i would've posted video of this. |

Why does there never seem to be any video or audio to accompany the 'coverage' of real artists like Trevor Dunn? Sometimes i wonder why i ever pay any attention to this site...Is the entire staff out in my backyard, (austin), trying desperately to monopolize the next vanilla ice? Thank you Ms. Bailey for something, because well, its better than nothing.
