How was the show? The last time I saw Malk it was a jammed-out bore.

I just saw Malkmus in Boston yesterday, and it was incredible. The dude's become a beast of a guitarist, though the more electronicky songs like Cold Son didn't fare so well. And he was absolutely hilarious, and Janet Weiss's drumming is much better live.

Then I missed the last train back because I HAD to stick around for the encore, which ended being a couple of lame songs from his self-titled. So I slept in a stairwell in the maintenance shaft of South Station. Score 1 for the E man.

I saw the show in North Adams. Awesome. Malkmus rips. The set was mostly the new album. Which by the way rocks live. The encore ripped. Dark Wave and Vanessa from Queens from the Pig Lib album. One tidbit I picked up from the show. Malkmus is buddies with Manute Bol. Don't miss this show.

hahahaaha. Manute Bol.

Also, according to Malkmus, you won't find many mustaches in the Estonian theater. For that type of facial hair, you need to hit up the gold mines.

(PS: Dark Wave and Animal midnight almost back-to-back. Owns.)

Is he really friends with Manute? I talked with Manute Bol two weeks ago on the train home to CT.
