flaming lips was the most intense sensory overload i've ever experienced. i got to help him crowd surf in his bubble!
Yeah, that set was wild--there was so much to look at. How close did you get? This was the one set where I couldn't get into the pit because there were too many photographers to fit so security kept some of us to the side.
Also, respect goes out to the GZA who was chilling at the Balance stage area for being so approachable.
I camped out at the A stage beginning with the thermals. Even with that, I was still about 10~15 people from the front! Strangely enough, it was probably the quickest passing 5+ hours of standing in the same place I've ever experienced. The crowd around me was so nice, it made it really fun! (and the M83 dance party helped quite a bit, too..)
