This was a difficult shoot. The place was packed 2 hours before the show started with a line forming around the block. I was there early by chance and was really dying for a drink. There were tons of kids already inside and just killed some time by the bar.

According to one of the bartenders, Kimya's going to do another free show at Sound Fix in April for all those people stuck outside. For those stuck inside you missed:

1. a quick blurb about the book Ishmael (the one with the talking gorrilla) and how many lives this book has changed.
2. Kimya's new album involving baby songs.
3. Kimya's visit to New Orleans to help musicians affected by Hurricane Katrina.
4. an amusing cover of the Whitney Houston's "The Greatest Love of All."
5. some talking points about golden showers.
6. Kimya's backup male dancers.

and topped off with an attempt to create a gigantic circle with people holding hands within the cramped quarters of sound fix.

so yeah, it was definitely an interesting night. just wished my pictures came out better.

Juno may have contributed to it but from the people singing along to her other songs not on soundtrack made it seem that most of the people there were diehard fans.
