i thought they were mesmerizing live though, even if i didn't recognize them as anyone famous. were they supposed to be someone already famous? |

It's just that their insistence on anonymity led a few people to speculate that they might've been someone recognizable. But it doesn't really matter though, their tracks are pretty good. |

So it's official, The Golden Filter aren't famous or anything, the whole mystery is just a gimmick.
