Al Green’s Carnegie Hall performance was a big loud production without much soul. Al hardly sang a complete number, instead he teased the audience into medley, sing-along. Maybe he can sell it to PBS as a 70’s “oldies but goodies night” but as an Al Green concert to remember, forget-it, it wasn’t that. i miss you Al, you used to kill me. love roz

The set was a little heavy on the medleys, but Al still made me smile. I would have loved to hear more from the new album and less of the old motown medleys, but maybe that's for next time. I think this was his first Carnegie Hall show.
I saw him last night in Montreal. Awesome.
