Yup, a cartwheel. This was such a gorgeous night. The weather was spectacular, the setting was beautiful, the music was really powerful (88 drumkits!!), I'm so glad I went! |

The LA version was magnificent, too. It was everything I love about drum circles (transcendent thudding/primal rhythms/communal engagement) without everything I hate about drum circles (terrible drummers/smelly people/no direction). They definitely went over 88 minutes and I coulda lasted for another hour. It didn't even take that long to get out of the parking lot. Imagine! |

You hit the nail on the head, narfish. In NYC it was so well run and organized, and such a pleasant place to be (short beer lines!). I'd go again without hesitation if they do 99 on 9/9/09 next year! |
