Phosphorescent jam ‘To Willie’ in 2009

Brooklyn’s Phosphorescent is set to pay homage to living country legend Willie Nelson on the project’s next LP, To Willie. For the follow-up to 2007’s Pride, central member Matthew Houck chose 11 tracks from Nelson’s catalogue to cover, much like Nelson did to Lefty Frizell in 1975’s To Lefty From Willie. Do you think it’s too soon for me to record To Phossy? The album will drop on Feb. 3 from Dead Oceans.
