Nintendo issued some details about its upcoming system, the Wii U, at a New York City press conference this morning. The follow-up to the Wii hits stores on November 8 and will cost $299 or $349 for a deluxe edition in black featuring an extra game pad and charger and a copy of Nintendo Land.
One major feature that’s raising eyebrows is the TVii, a service allowing the user to watch television and use Twitter, Facebook, IMDB and Wikipedia through the Wii. Nintendo also announced that the highly anticipated New Super Mario Bros. U will also be out at launch. Watch a promotional video for TVii below. [Verge]
