Nicki Minaj is a woman of many voices. There’s the “Yes you’ll get slapped if you’re looking, ho!” one, her recurring character Roman, there’s the innocent “I’m the rookie?” voice that inevitably leads to her cookie monster “50K FOR A VERSE NO ALBUM OUT” voice; the list goes on. But it was voices of a different kind that recently led her to delete her massively popular twitter account. As she explained on the Graham Norton show:
A voice in my head told me to delete my Twitter and that’s what I did. I had 11 million followers and I hope they will wait for me.
I reply all the time and get to know them by name and I have a really personal bond with them… not all 11 million, but at least 10 of them a day.
Now what she probably meant was that she decided it was a good idea to take a break from the popular social networking service, but it’s still funny to imagine her waking up from a dream to a disembodied voice telling her to put these twitter followers on lockout.
