Ziggy Stardust Remixed: Glam Redux

So Ziggy Stardust walks into a bar...

...and the punchline? Well the bar is a sweaty, packed club, and Stardust finds himself in a "mashup" of sorts.

ATOM, A plus D, World Famous Audio Hacker, ToToM, and dj BC have remixed and mashed-up David Bowie's classic The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars album.

You can stream the music and watch a couple videos produced for the occasion by VJ Brewski and AJ 'Hatperson' Mazur online on the Ziggy Remixed website.

The results? Well, it's a mixed bag. I could do without the mashup of "Stardust Kids," which employs Bowie's vocals and the music from MGMT's "Kids." And I suppose it depends what kind of Bowie fan you are. If you are a purist, you might want to consider ignoring this blog post altogether. However, if you are a little more open-minded, check out DJ BC's "Sufferin' Remix" of "Suffraggette City." Gold dust on the disco floor brilliant.

I'm not sure where this reviewer is coming from, the Stardust Kids mashup is the best track on the album, hands-down! It's already making quite a splash on the interwebz....

As for the rest of the album, I will agree, mixed bag at best. But A plus D's Stardust Kids has been on non-stop rotation on my ipod since the day I heard it. It's definitely the "star" track!
