Yesterday it was that whole “Sex Pistols could record an album, but may not” story, and today, the NME (via the Daily Star) is reporting that Led Zeppelin may or may not go on tour in 2009.
While speaking at an awards show, Page said, “I hope fans can vote for Led Zeppelin live awards in the future.”
Now, this could mean that the awards show will award bands retroactive live performance awards, or it could mean that Led Zeppelin will tour again. More than likely, it was just Page riling the crowd up at an otherwise boring awards show.
But speaking on Robert Plant (who is out on tour with Allison Krauss), Page said, “I’m not gonna persuade Robert to do anything. You come together through the goodness of your heart.”
That’s all well and good, but that doesn’t leave us with a definitive answer. So, long story short, no one has any idea if Led Zeppelin will tour again. [NME]
Cool. I may or may not care.
