The blog I Guess I'm Floating has posted three songs from an album Zach Condon did before Beirut's debut from last year, Gulag Orkestar. Then going with the band name The Real People, the album was known as The Joys of Losing Weight and consisted of 21 untitled songs. Apparently the album dates from 2001, which would have put Condon in his mid-teens, no? Can't wait until his real old school shit from, like, when he was in kindergarten is made available.
IGIF claims the entirety of Joys is quite easy to find on the internet with a minimal amount of digging around.
