Although watching YouTube outside of work destroys the delicious time wasting factor, wouldn't it be great if someone texted you a link and you could just watch it on your phone? Personally I want a microwave that will show a random clip while I wait for my popcorn to finish, but until then I can pick up an iPhone and have YouTube wherever I go. This will be good news for those looking to buy the rich hipster phone of the year, although folks packing a Windows Mobile phone have had this capability for a few weeks now, with YouTube launching a mobile version of their site. If you have the touchscreen version that is; for those of us who went with the slimline Q or Blackjack, you're screwed out of watching OK Go videos ... on the go.

For those worried that all the fancy features of the iPhone and its non-replaceable battery will drain your talk time, apparently Apple is touting some super battery that will give you eight hours of talk time and / or 24 hours of audio playback. I'm sure if you're browsing YouTube with the included WiFi that number will go down dramatically. Also, the surface has been upgraded to some fancy scratch resistant glass, which will hopefully not spiderweb dramatically the first time you drop it. I look forward to seeing the long lines at 6 PM next Friday.
