San Francisco bloggers/video producers Yours Truly are taking the whole delivering-music-to-the-masses thing a step further than your average music blog; they're starting a record label. Called Love Letters Ink, the label already has two planned releases from relatively well-established artists and gives a whole new meaning to the idea of musicians getting a record deal through a music blog.
Up first: a collaborative EP between Big K.R.I.T. and R&B group Grillade called The Wuz Here Sessions, featuring a new song and remixed selections from last year's K.R.I.T. Wuz Here mixtape (listen to a sampler of the sessions here). After that, a March release from Los Angeles outsider pop artist Nite Jewel. Judging from the types of artists the blog covers, we can expect a similar level of diversity from future releases.
