Do you ever want to know what the dude who works at your record store listens to? Matt Jordan, the blogger behind You Ain’t No Picasso, reveals himself as that dude on the No. 3 spot of his “Favorite Songs of 2009” list, which goes to Dirty Projectors:
“The way I spent ‘09 describing ‘Stillness is the Move’ to people was this: ‘if you took Mariah Carey’s “Fantasy” single, broke it with a hammer and put it back together all crazy.’ It’s not a bad way to describe this tricky song, I guess, but it sure didn’t sell many people on it at the record store.”
This list is versatile, shouting out the Flaming Lips and Blackroc and Screaming Females at the same time. Jordan also culls gems from otherwise mediocre albums, sometimes referencing bands you don’t know about (yet).

Not a bad list at all, though I'd like to see more hip-hop on there. Oh well.
I agree, aside from the inexplicable NASA inclusion..
it isn't a hip-hop site.
you wouldn't want 20 "indie rock" entries at nah right...
I'm not complaining, just saying like three more songs from some underground cats would have been nice!
Nah Right doesn't post lists. And 47th is entirely, entirely too low for the Rae/Ghost/Meth track.
