Good news, Chavril fans: The new Canadian power couple Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger have recorded an album together. That's according to L.A. Reid, the head honcho at Epic Records, Lavigne's label. Said Reid, "She worked with Chad Kroeger, who is now her fiance, and they did a really good record."
Yet he's being coy on when this star-studded collaboration will descend on the unworthy peons of Earth. "We're in the mixing process now and I expect to release it very soon. I'd like to get it out this year, but time seems to be flying. If we don't, it will be top of the new year."
This isn't the first time Lavigne has teamed up with a significant other for musical inspiration. For her 2011 album Goodbye Lullaby, the singer co-wrote six songs with then husband Deryck Whibley, a.k.a. frontman for Sum 41. What do you suppose Chavril will sound like? The world awaits with bated breath. [NME]
