"Beowulf" director Robert Zemeckis and Disney will team up to remake the Beatles' classic animated flick "Yellow Submarine." The parties have already struck a deal that would give them access to the 1968 film's original soundtrack, which includes "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds," "Eleanor Rigby" and "With A Little Help From My Friends." There would also be an option to create a stage musical based on the screen remake. Zemeckis is planning a 2012 release date that would coincide with the Summer Olympics in London. [Rolling Stone]
