It’s been a long year of touring for Brooklyn based psychedelic rockers Yeasayer. Stints on the road with Man Man and MGMT have taken the band across North America, appearances at European festivals are scheduled for August, and Australian Yeasayer fans can see them play in October. The promotional duties for All Hour Cymbals continue when the band returns from its antipodean jaunt. A fall/winter tour is set to take them through the U.S. and Canada, culminating in two shows in Brooklyn at the Music Hall of Williamsburg.
Some cryptic surprises have been promised by the band, who are apparently thinking of adding a weather balloon to the Yeasayer stage set. Other treats in store include projectors, LCD grids, and “a repaired voice for the son of Cricket, Anand Wilder.” A taste of the band’s second album, which is scheduled for release in 2009, is also promised. There is also a deluxe 180 gram vinyl version of All Hour Cymbals due for release later this year, which is appropriate as today is Vinyl Record Day. Full Yeasayer tour dates listed below.
