Yeah Yeah Yeahs' disco-influenced third album, It's Blitz, leaked early last week well in advance of its planned April release date, but the band's label has decided to get proactive in regards to the leak--Interscope has decided to push the album's digital release up to next Tuesday (March 10) and the physical release to March 31 in the U.S. (and April 6 in the rest of the world). It's a telling move for the band's label, since apparently they think that It's Blitz can move enough units to necessitate going into crisis mode and pushing the release up. At least the label didn't start putting out releases asking for the heads of the people that leaked it. [via Idolator]
