Although it's coming a little later than initially expected, the new Wyclef album, entitled Carnival III: Memoirs of an Immigrant, is still scheduled to see the light of day before this calender year is out. Originally slated for a November 6 release, the album is now scheduled for a December 4 drop via Columbia. Carnival III features an eclectic array of guest musicians including Paul Simon, T.I., Mary J. Blige, Serj Tankian, Norah Jones, Akon, Chamillionaire, Sizzla and will.i.am. The music is equally varied, swerving from Bollywood to rock to Tejano on "Selena," a tribute to the deceased singer of the same name. Everyone who buys a copy of the album will be entered into a raffle to win Wyclef's 1932 Zebra automobile. Wyclef is expected to tour behind the album in the beginning of 2008.
