Apparently the answer to the question in the above headline is "yes," according to The Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek. In an interview with Billboard, he said he believes that deceased frontman Jim Morrison would "love" what his band has done with U.S. dubstepper Skrillex.
"He'd love it. He was no purist," Manzarek says. "His words were his mileau. He might be, 'Don't fuck with my words,' but he'd be open for all kind of improvisations. He loved that stuff."
Really? Um, I can't think of anyone outside of those involved who loved the music, but what do I know. Maybe The Doors should start experimenting with more electronic sounds like Manzarek hints at in the interview. Wait. No. Just stop even thinking about that and go back to whatever you were doing before all this nonsense became newsworthy. You can read the full interview at Billboard.
