World Cup Star Wants Oasis To Reform

Oasis have barely been broken up, but people are already clamoring for them to get back together. I guess nobody wants to give Liam Gallagher’s new group Beady Eye a shot.

The latest person yearning for an Oasis reunion is Argentinian World Cup star and FIFA World Player Of The Year, Lionel Messi. Messi apparently heard Oasis for the first time while traveling to South Africa for the sporting event, and instantly fell in love with their Brit-Pop charms, singling out tracks like “Supersonic” and “Live Forever” as favorites. Messi’s goal is to have Oasis play some sort of celebration for the Argentinian team should they win the World Cup.

Not really seeing this happening anytime soon, but Oasis have proven to be unpredictable with their togetherness over the years, so pulling something like this wouldn’t be terribly out of their league. [Spinner]
