Woods Are Putting Out New Album “Bend Beyond” In September

I’m going to go out on a limb and say the new Woods album, Bend Beyond, is going to be good. If I’m right, that will put Woods in a very specific neighborhood of success – the rock band that manages to release three bona fide, list-maker records in the same amount of years. It’s not exactly an indie-rock band approaches early-‘90s GBV efficiency, so more power to them. Bend Beyond arrives on Sept. 18, about 15 months after 2011’s Sun and Shade. It apparently “captures elements of their dynamic live sound,” which is a pretty vague description if you ask me. I imagine it means that it sounds a lot like Woods, which is obviously a very good thing. They’ll also be setting out on a west-coast and UK tour with circle-psych weirdos Peaking Lights (check that 8.0!) this summer, catch those dates below.
