After setting indie hearts aflutter in 2005, the fellas in Wolf Parade have remained pretty quiet.
Not really, of course, what with side projects Sunset Rubdown and Handsome Furs releasing albums and touring regularly. But there hasn’t been any new music from Wolf Parade since their still awesome debut, Apologies to the Queen Mary. That is, until June 17, when the wolf pack let their new album, the newly-awfully titled, Kissing the Beehive, out into the wild on June 17, via Sub Pop.
The band plans on touring this summer, but Sunset Rubdown and Handsome Furs are on the road now. [Pitchfork]
New Wolf Parade album finally announced, has awful title

The title, of course, doesn't really matter. This is just so corny it's funny. I'm real excited for this too. |

yeah, definitely no 'chocolate starfish and the hotdog flavored water', which will probably remain the best album title long into the next millenium. |

I can't wait for this release. When I saw them this past summer in Philadelphia, they played about 2/3 of their set from the new album. It was an absolutely amazing show, particularly due to the new songs. I'm almost positive this will not be a record to disappoint. |

Since when does a album name have anything to do with the quality of an album. If the album is great then who cares what the name is. A little too early to be bashing it. |
