Wolf Parade's Spencer Krug announced at a show this weekend in Toronto that "this is the last show we'll play for a long time." The announcement was confirmed when Dan Boeckner, who shares co-frontman duties with Krug, told a fan site that the band would be going on "indefinite hiatus."
Wolf Parade still has a handful of live dates planned for next year, so those of you who live in the Netherlands and want to say farewell (hopefully, not for good) will get a chance to do so. [Vulture]
For some reason, this isn't that surprising. Expo '86 kind of felt like they weren't sure what to do now, so it's a pretty fitting pre-hiatus album.
